EPCCI in operational problems

The Eastern Province Chamber of Commerce and Industry, EPCCI, says that it has to resolve the issue of choosing new office bearers before returning to full operations.
EPCCI President, Thomas Mtonga, says that the chamber was supposed to hold elections in February, a situation which has interrupted its work.
He says that this has led to members and the public being unable to deal with the chamber fully in the past few months.
Mr. Mtonga says that the chamber’s secretariat is currently not operating, but emphasized that this does not mean the EPCCI is dead.
Mr. Mtonga says that the chamber is however, putting in place everything to ensure that the elections are held within the next two months.
