First DMI university graduates employed by government

Twenty-six recent graduates from DMI St. Eugene University in Chipata are among teachers recruited by the Ministry of Education in Eastern Province.

Provincial Education Officer, Allan Lingambe and DMI St. Eugene University Rector, Fr. Francis Xavier have confirmed to Breeze News.

Fr. Xavier says that six of the graduates have Bachelor of Science in Education, two have Bachelor of Arts in Education while the remaining 18 have diploma qualification.

He says that the move by the Ministry of Education to employ graduates from St. Eugene encourages the university to work even harder in offering quality education.

And Dr. Lingambe says that the deployment process of the new teachers in the province has been completed.

He says that all teachers are expected to report for work by September 15 and that those who will not report after the grace period is over, will be replaced.
