Five people hospitalised at Chipata General Hospital from acute food poisoning.

Five people from one family have been hospitalised at Chipata General Hospital from acute food poisoning, which is usually caused by consuming stale food.
Acting Medical Superintendent, Dr Daniel Makawa confirmed the incident saying that the victims were 2 males and 3 females.
Dr Makawa says that all the five are now out of danger adding that three were expected to be discharged while two would remain for observation.
Dr Makawa also says that an investigative team has been put up to find out what caused the food poisoning.
Meanwhile Dr Makawa says that the project of constructing flats for paramedics at the hospital has not been abandoned.
He says that the project started 2 years ago and two contractors are on site to finish the work.
The acting medical superintendent says that the flats are likely to be completed in November this year and that they will be ready for occupation next year.
