Former Malambo MP Maxwell Mwale has confirmed his decision to ditch Movement for Multi-Party Democracy.

Former Malambo Constituency Member of Parliament Maxwell Mwale has confirmed his decision to ditch MMD, the Movement for Multi-Party Democracy.
Mr. Mwale told Breeze News that he now has desires to stand on UPND, United Party for National Development ticket, in the September 5th Malambo parliamentary by-election.
Mr Mwale says that the UPND has not adopted him yet contrary to reports from the media.
He says that he has decided to join UPND because the political landscape is pointing that UPND will form the next government.
The former MP said that he did not defect to UPND to seek protection adding that his court cases are all political charges that did not start with him and will not end with him.
