Freedom fighters in Chipata have disassociated themselves from active politics.
District Chairperson, Anderson Zulu says that the freedom fighters do not agree with their provincial leaders to endorse any presidential candidate.
Speaking to Breeze News, Mr. Zulu says that freedom fighters are not supposed to side with any political party but work with the government of the day.
He says that freedom fighters in Chipata have agreed to stick to their constitution, which entails that they provide an advisory role.
Mr. Zulu pointed out that in advising government, they wish to call upon President Edgar Lungu to take a firm stance against political violence.
He says that president Lungu is the only one who can stop political violence because he is in-charge of all the arms of government.
