New UPND Vice President for Administration, Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba yesterday made a scathing attack on President Edgar Lungu, accusing him of abandoning late president, Michael Sata’s vision.
And Mr. Mwamba vowed that he would not resign as Member of Parliament for Kasama Central Constituency despite being appointed UPND Vice president.
He was speaking after UPND leader, Hakainde Hichilema unveiled him as the new party vice president for administration, taking over from Richard Kapita, who joined the ruling PF.
Mr. Mwamba alleged that government was keen to borrow more money under the pretext of wanting to fund projects when infact they were interested in getting cuts from money paid to contractors.
He also condemned government’s decision to only buy 500,000 metric tonnes of maize this marketing season, stating that most farmers would be stuck with their produce.
Mr. Mwamba further condemned President Lungu’s decision to embrace former President Rupiah Banda, Petauke Central Member of Parliament, Dora Siliya and appointment of Michael Kaingu as education minister, stating that genuine PF members have been left in the cold.
