Gender Based Violence cases are not reducing in Eastern Province.
Young Women Christian Association YWCA, Regional Coordinator, Dorothy Ndhlovu told Breeze News that this is despite various interventions.
Ms. Ndhlovu, however, says that this is an indication that people know more about their rights and are able to report the cases.
She says in the past people used to sit back and resolve the issues from home without looking at the impact of the survivor.
And Ms Ndhlovu has observed that Eastern province is leading in child marriage cases compared to other provinces.
She says her organisation has formed men networks as an intervention to fight GBV cases because of the customary law which gives men more power.
She cited the Good Husband Campaign which was formed to teach men and change their attitude towards GBV.
