Government has again appealed for calm from contractors whose payment has delayed.

Government has urged contractors in Eastern Province to keep calm over delayed payments.
Transport, Works, Supply and Communications Minister, Yamfwa Mukanga has told Breeze News that contractors in the province must not be worried with the payment because the government is addressing the issue.
Mr Mukanga says that government is committed to paying all the contractors including those working on Chipata-Vubwi so that the road works are completed on time.
He urged the contractors in the province to always seek audience with RDA, the Road Development Agency on issues of payment.
And Mr. Mukanga says that contractors who were on Christmas break should resume work.
Some road works in Eastern Province have stalled because the contractors do not have money to continue with the rehabilitation projects.
