Government has condemned road works carried out on the Chipata-Vubwi road.

Presidential aide for Projects Monitoring and Implementation, Lucky Mulusa has expressed disappointment with works on the 43 kilometres Chipata-Vubwi road.
Mr. Mulusa says that the contractor is not doing a good job despite being given part payment towards the project.
He notes that it is sad that the road has already started developing signs of construction defects even before it is halfway done.
Mr. Mulusa says that the company consultant should correct the defects before the works are completed if the road is to have a long life span.
And the Consultant Frans Blohhuis assured, Mr. Mulusa that all corrections will be done adding that the road will be constructed according to specifications and time frame.
The Chipata-Vubwi-Chadiza road, which has a total stretch of 120 kilometres, is being upgraded to bituminous standard at a cost of about 530 million Kwacha.
