Government has released over 15 million Kwacha for upgrading of township roads in Nyimba district.
Nyimba District Council chairperson, Max Kapanta confirmed this to Breeze News.
Mr. Kapanta says that the money for the project has been released by the Ministry of Local Government and Housing.
He explained that the project has been awarded to Sable Construction Company and that works are expected to start soon.
The council chairperson mentioned Mwanawasa, Betty Kaunda, Zozwezwe and Secondary School, as some the roads that are earmarked for tarring during the one year project.
He says that once completed, the project will help the local authority offer better services to people in the district and that access to various compounds will be easier.
