Government has actualized Foreign Direct Investment of about 891.6 million United States dollars from 2011 to 2013.
Republican President, Michael Sata has said this in his latest update on his Facebook page.
President Sata, who is currently in Addis Ababa attending the 22nd African Union summit, says that Agriculture registered about 172.5 million dollars, Construction 24.6 million while education actualised about 3.8 million dollars.
And President Sata says that similarly, the country’s Non Traditional Exports have also been steadily increasing with 2011 recording 1.8 billion dollars, 2012 registering 2.8 billion and 2013 registering 3.3 billion dollars.
The head of state says that government through the ZDA plans to attract 4 billion dollars in 2014 and will include activities to support accelerated economic development.
President Sata says that government’s focus in 2014, will also include prioritizing the implementation of PPP projects especially in the Road sector, Airports and Garbage collection among others.
Meanwhile State House has announced that President Michael Sata will this Saturday leave Addis Ababa, Ethiopia for a 14- day working holiday.
According to the statement released to Breeze News, President Sata’s press aide George Chellah says the president will be accompanied by the first lady Dr Christine Kaseba.
