The Ministry of Education says it will this year deploy enough teachers to schools that have inadequate teachers in the province.
Provincial Education Officer, Allan Lingambe told Breeze News that the province is still receiving applications from people who want to be employed in the teaching service.
Dr. Lingambe says the province has not been given a number of teachers to deploy but he is hopeful that they will be adequate to fill the vacancies in schools.
Dr. Lingambe was reacting to a complaint raised by Rukuzye Primary School Deputy Head Teacher, Alice Phiri that the school needs more teachers.
Mr. Phiri indicated that the school only has four teachers against 650 pupils from grade one to seven.
The PEO says the complaint is genuine and needs to be addressed as soon as the province deploys new teachers.
