Green Party advises Zambians on cultural diversity

The opposition Green Party in Eastern Province has observed that Zambians can use the cultural diversity towards development of the country.

Party Provincial Secretary, Jeremiah Malama, says Zambians can take advantage of having various tribes to develop and promote unity in the country instead of causing tribal divisions.

He noted that co-existence among people of various tribes, can help Zambians learn from each other’s cultures and traditions, some of which are good for national development.

Mr. Malama notes that during the independence struggle, Zambia’s forefathers took advantage of the varying cultures to promote unity.

He was commenting over the emerging tribal misunderstandings, following the August 11 general elections.

Mr. Malama explained that Zambians must continue working and living together regardless of tribal differences, under the One Zambia One Nation motto.
