Heavy rainfall has washed away Chadzombe Bridge in Chadiza district.
Chadiza Central Ward Councillor Richard Mbewe confirmed the development to Breeze News.
Mr Mbewe said that the washed away bridge has cut off the Chadiza-Chipata road forcing motorists to use alternative routes to Chipata.
Mr Mbewe said that the matter has already been reported to relevant authorities adding that the bridge will be worked on soon.
He has advised all motorists not to use the prison road to avoid accidents.
Mr. Mbewe says that the motorists should instead use the old Chadiza-Chipata road.
