Drafting of a plan for an eleven hectare land where government wants to establish an industrial hub in Chipata has reached an advanced stage.
Chipata Municipal Council Director of Planning, Namenda Kaonga told Breeze News that the drafted plan which is still with lawyers in Lusaka will be concluded before the end of the year.
Mr. Kaonga says the industrial hub will be run by CEEC, the Citizen Economic and Empowerment Commission.
He says the land in question will also see other developments such as the construction of a Medical Stores hub and a Milling Plant.
Mr. Kaonga says the council will also apply for land at the same place for a residential site which will be called Chipata South.
