Lack of storage and handling facilities at Chipata-Mchinji Railway worries EPCCI

Eastern Province Chamber of Commerce and Industry EPCCI say that government should move quickly in putting in place all facilities at the Chipata-Mchinji Railway line.

Speaking to Breeze Business News, EPCCI Chief Executive Officer, Josephine Chirwa says that lack of facilities such as storage and handling is working to the disadvantage of the railway line.
Ms. Chirwa says that some business persons have expressed interest to utilise the railway line but are being discouraged by lack of facilities.
And Ms. Chirwa has advised ZESCO to ensure that it stabilises power supply in Eastern Province.
She says that it is obvious that the power interruptions are seriously affecting the business sector.
