Zambia has moved to 7 points in Group D of the Brazil 2014 World Cup, following yesterday’s one all draw against Lesotho.
Kennedy Mwene’s straight red card in the second half put the Chipolopolo Boys on numerical disadvantage.
This gave Lesotho some courage, as they pressed on for a goal.
However, it was Collins Mbesuma, who scored first.
Zambia struggled to defend the lone goal and was punished four minutes before the end of the game, when Lipepe Marabe’s short, found the top corner to give Lesotho an equalizer.
And in another group D game, Ghana whipped notorious Sudan 4-nil at home to move them to 6 points, which is just one point behind group D leaders Zambia.
Elsewhere, Ethiopia moved a step closer to reaching their first World Cup finals as they beat Botswana 1-nil to move to seven points at the top of Group A.
And in Group C, Morocco suffered a humiliating 3-1 defeat at the hands of Tanzania, who have not become the strongest challenger to group leaders Ivory Coast.
Lesotho holds Zambia to a one-all draw in the Brazil 2014 World Cup qualifier.
