Lundazi District Council is unhappy with the contractor working on township roads in Lundazi district.
Council Secretary Boyd Kaoma told Breeze News that his office is concerned with the pace at which Avex Contractor is moving with the works.
Mr. Kaoma stated that by now the contractor was supposed to be fixing drainages in readiness for tarring works but this has not yet been done.
He warned that the contractor was risking having the contract terminated should he fail to meet the deadline, adding that East Consultant has already warned the contractor over the slow pace.
Avex has been contracted to work on a 10 kilometres stretch of urban roads in Lundazi district, which is supposed to be completed within 1 year six months.
