Lundazi is the best performing district in health service delivery in Eastern Province

Lundazi district has scooped the overall best performing district in health service delivery in the province.
Provincial Health Officer, Dr. Kennedy Malama announced this during an award ceremony yesterday at the close of the second quarter review meeting for the Ministry of Health.
Lundazi also scooped the World Bank funded Result Based Fund, RBF project award.
Under the RBF award, Mwase Lundazi Health Centre came out the best from Lundazi district, while Vulamkoko Health Centre came out the best from Katete district.
Meanwhile, Mambwe district scooped both the best Paediatric Anti-retroviral Treatment and the August Voluntary Male Circumcision awards.
Mambwe district recorded 454 male circumcision procedures, surpassing the 180 target.
And Dr. Malama says that the awards are meant to encourage health institutions to be putting in their best in the health service delivery.
