Man beats his wife to death over Nshima in Lundazi

A nineteen year old woman has been murdered by her husband in Lundazi district.
Eastern Province, Police Commissioner, Grace Chipalila confirmed the murder of Jane Banda of Kamayele Village in Chief Zumwanda.
Ms. Chipalila says that the incident happened when Jane Banda went to a cotton field to pick cotton and her husband Nswanthi Kumweda aged 27, followed her.
She says that the couple differed as the husband wanted his wife to go home and prepare nshima for him but she refused.
Ms. Chipalila says that the two then started fighting and Kumwenda beat his wife severely adding that a stick is suspected to have been used.
Ms. Chipalila says that Kumwenda is currently detained at Lundazi Police Station, waiting to appear in court.
