The Ministry of Health in Chipata district has beefed up staff in its vaccination exercise against measles and Rubella.
The ministry has deployed 94 extra health workers in its 62 health facilities that will be carrying out the exercise that has kicked off today.
Chipata District Medical Officer, Davie Simwaba confirmed this to Breeze News.
Dr. Simwaba says the 94 health workers have been trained on how to conduct the measles and Rubella vaccinations.
He says the health workers have this morning been dispatched to the various health facilities.
The measles and Rubella vaccine will be given to children from nine months to 15 years old to prevent them from contracting the two diseases.
