Misunderstandings among PF, Patriotic Front Party members in Chipata Central Constituency have resurfaced.
The party members from two parallel executives are arguing over the Constituency Cultural Dances Festival, which took place over the weekend at Chipata College of Education.
The constituency executive led by John Mkhazika says that the festival is illegal because his committee was not consulted before the event took place.
Mr. Mkhazika who was flanked by his vice chairperson, Francis Sakala also questioned why the event was officiated by former Chipata Central Member of Parliament, Lameck Mangani, because he does not hold any party position.
But Chipata Central Constituency Secretary, William Phiri says that Mr. Mkhazika has no right to comment on the festival because he is running an illegal executive.
Mr. Phiri says that his executive, which is led by Fackson Nkunika, approved the decision to have Mr. Mangani officiate the event because the former MP was instrumental in organising the festival.
He also told Breeze News that Mr. Mkhazika risks being disciplined by the party for continuing to mislead party members through his illegal executive.
