Some political parties have not announced their parliamentary candidates but social media is revealing some candidates, who are showing their adoption certificates.
So far Chipata has revealed the four candidates under PF, the Patriotic Front Party for the four constituencies in the district.
These are Moses Mawere for Chipata Central, Victoria Kalima for Kasenengwa, Charles Zulu for Luangeni and Vincent Mwale for Chipangali.
The United Party for National Development UPND has revealed Moses Moyo for Kasenengwa and Sam Thole for Chadiza parliamentary seat.
And PF Eastern Province Chairperson, Andrew Lubusha has confirmed to Breeze News that the party has issued certificates to its adopted candidates.
Mr. Lubusha says PF has successfully completed the adoption process and is waiting for President Edgar Lungu to officially announce the adopted candidates.
Meanwhile, UPND Provincial Publicity Secretary, Victor Mbuzi also indicated that the names of candidates will be announced soon.
And Rainbow Party Provincial Chairperson, Isaiah Manda mentioned that the party has picked, Dorcas Nachangwa as their parliamentary candidate for Chipata Central and Sencio Banda for Kasenengwa constituency.
He says the party has also picked Joseph Mumbi for Luangeni constituency and Aaron Nyendwa for Chipangali.
