More than 3,000 parcels of traditional land demarcated in Chipata district.

More than 3,000 parcels of Chiefdom land has been demarcated in Chipata district.
Chipata District Land Alliance Coordinator, Allan Kasongo told Breeze News that this is in an effort to create Chiefdom boundaries.
Mr. Kasongo says that the land boundary demarcations are being done in Chieftainess Mkanda, Chiefs M’nukwa, M’shawa and Maguya.
He says that the four traditional leaders have welcomed the decision, which has seen a reduction in land disputes in their areas.
Mr. Kasongo says the Chiefs will be issued with boundary maps while individuals owning land in the villages will be given certificates of ownership before the end of this year.
