More than 4,000 people in Chief Kapatamoyo’s area in Chipata district face displacement after Kabalika Nkhwengwe the title owner of farm D 115 decided to sell the land to a local businessman.
Chief Kapatamoyo told Breeze News that about sixteen villages on Farm D 115 have been affected in the area.
The Chief explained that last week a group of people decided to put bacons on the farm at night without letting him know.
He says this has angered the villagers, who went to seek audience with him to find out what was happening.
The chief says he has written to Nkhwengwe, inviting him to a meeting at his palace so that they can resolve the matter but he did not showed up.
