More than half of the workers at Chipata Municipal Council not paid for two months.

More than half of the workers at Chipata Municipal Council have not been paid their monthly salaries for two months.
Chipata Municipal Council Director of Administration and Human Resource, Mwape Katemwe says workers affected are those in division one, two and three.
Mr. Katemwe says that the affected workers get their salaries from Central government and were last paid in May.
He says that there is an indication from the government that the workers will be paid their salary arrears although the specific time has not been indicated.
Mr. Katemwe however, says that division four workers who get paid by the local authority have been receiving their salaries on a monthly basis.
