Mpezeni and Gawa advised to settle differences

The Patriotic Front PF Party in Eastern Province has described as unfortunate misunderstandings that have ensued between Ngoni’s and Chewas in Chipata’s Chipangali area.
PF Provincial Chairperson, Attany Mwamba however, says that royal establishments from the two tribes should meet and resolve the problem.
In a statement availed to Breeze News, Mr. Mwamba says that the governing party has a lot of confidence in the manner in which the leadership of the two tribes can handle whatever challenges they may be facing.
He says that the PF wants peace and tranquillity to prevail so that Eastern Province can concentrate on taking development to the people regardless of their tribe or region.
Mr. Mwamba has further indicated that the move by police to stop a meeting which was called by Paramount Chief Mpezeni in Chipangali was never meant to disrespect any traditional leader but to protect lives of ordinary citizens.
He has advised the two traditional leaderships against getting emotional over the matter, stating that President Edgar Lungu is working closely with all traditional leaders.
Meanwhile Mr. Mwmba has maintained that the defections of 71 UPND members and 34 FDD members to the ruling party in Vubwi district were genuine.
