Msoro and Mnkhanya areas in Mambwe risk being cut off from the rest of the district.

People of Msoro and Mnkhanya areas in Mambwe district are under threat of being cut off due to lack of bridges.
Japhet Tembo and David Phiri have complained that the areas have no proper crossing points.
They also expressed worry that lives of school going children are in danger because of streams, which get flooded.
And Mambwe District Council Chairperson, George Banda, has acknowledged the danger stating that many other areas are also facing the problem of crossing points.
He however, assured the villagers in the affected areas that government has already put in place a plan to build bridges in the district.
Mr. Banda explained that the project, which will be carried out in collaboration with Mambwe District Council, will commence immediately the rainy season is over.
He says the project will see bridges constructed on Lupande, Lupeta and Lusundwa rivers.
