Nabvutika springs starts to supply water in Chipata

Some residents of Kapata Township in Chipata have started receiving water from Nabvutika springs.

Eastern Water and Sewerage Company Public Relations officer Henry Kashoki confirmed this to Breeze News.

Mr. Kashoki says that the spring has started operating and is now supplementing water to some parts of Kapata Township.

He says that the water supply system will only be pumping water during dry seasons.

Mr. Kashoki says although the Nabvutika spring has not yet been commissioned, the company has decided to start operating the facility as a way of assessing the impact that it will have on the residents.

Meanwhile Mr. Kashoki advised customers to stay calm as the utility company is trying to work on the water problem at Lutembwe Dam One.
