Some villagers of Kasenengwa Constituency in Chipata want the next Member of Parliament to prioritise rehabilitation of roads.
Headman Manjanja of Chief Madzimawe area, Leo Jere, says that the road network in the area is bad and needs to be improved.
The headman explained to Breeze News that the poor state of roads in the area has been one of the major worries of people.
Headman Manjanja says that some major roads such as Chongo, are almost impassable due to their deplorable state and need urgent rehabilitation.
The headman pointed out that Chongo which connects Kasenengwa to other areas, needs to be quickly rehabilitated to reduce on challenges that farmers are likely to face in transporting their maize to depots.
He says the road was last worked on in the UNIP government adding that past governments have not done anything to improve its state.
