The NGOCC are in Eastern Province promoting women participation in the fourth coming August 11th general election.
Project Coordinator Evelyn Mooya told Breeze News that the project is aimed at encouraging women to contest in the decision making positions in the coming general election.
Mrs. Mooya says the project, which is being funded by the Swedish Embassy has targeted five provinces which are Central, Copperbelt, Eastern, Northern and Southern.
She says the NGOCC has seen that men have failed the people of Zambia and that this was the reason why women should aspire for decision making positions through various political parties.
Mrs. Mooya says the Eastern tour is the fourth in the series adding that the last tour will be to Central Province.
The activity to sensitize the women of Eastern Province to take part in the coming general election was held at Chapata’s Nabvutika Market.
