Nine Malawians and two Congolese nationals arrested for entering the country illegally

The Immigration Department in Chipata has arrested nine Malawians and two Congolese nationals for unlawful entry.
Immigration Public Relations Officer Namati Nshinka confirmed to Breeze News today.
Mr Nshinka says similarly the Immigration in Chingola has also arrested four Tanzanian nationals for trading without permits.

Meanwhile 43 year old Chinese national Mao Yongjin has been deported to his country after being found to be a danger to peace and good order of Zambia.
Mr Mao, a General Manager at Zhongman Industry and Trade was deported under a warrant signed by the Minister of Home Affairs, Davies Mwila on grounds that his presence in Zambia was likely to be a danger to peace and good order.
Mr Mao was on 9th August, 2014 along with other unknown persons arrested by Police and Zambia National Service Officers for unlawfully being in possession of 3,667 logs of Mukula Tree valued at about 44,200 Kwacha.
Mr Nshinka says that Mr Mao was subsequently convicted and fined for the offence by the Lusaka Magistrate Court.
He says Mr Mao was on 8th May, 2015, again arrested together with 14 others for illegal possession of Mukula logs.
He was deported in the early hours of Friday via Kenneth Kaunda International Airport.
