Nyimba district has started receiving maize seeds for the replanting exercise.
Nyimba district commissioner, George Phiri confirmed this to Breeze News.
Mr. Phiri explained that the district is expected to receive about 120 metric tonnes of maize seed for replanting.
He said that about 70 metric tonnes of the maize seed has been delivered to the district and that distribution started on Saturday.
The district commissioner explained that the distribution exercise will continue until all affected farmers receive their seeds.
Farmers in Nyimba district have had to replant their fields after army worms that attacked most farming camps in the district, destroyed crops.
