Only five kilometers of the Chipata-Chadiza road has been tarred.

The Chinese Company constructing the Chipata-Chadiza-Katete road has so far applied five kilometers of bitumen on the Chipata-Chadiza road.
China State Construction Engineering Corporation Limited Project Manager, Yimo Wang confirmed to Breeze News yesterday.
Mr Wang stated that his company was expected to continue with the tarring of the tarmac once it receives funding from the Government.
He says there is urgent need for government to give the necessary support through timely release of funds so that the project is completed on time.
Mr Wang says the money which government had released was not enough for the whole work.
Two weeks ago, the Parliamentary Committee on Estimates led by Bwengwa UPND Member of Parliament Highvie Hamududu assured the contractor of payments.
