PF and UPND cadres fight in Luangeni Constituency

Confusion ensued between PF and UPND cadres in Luangeni Constituency yesterday.
Trouble started when cadres from the two political parties, who both had political meetings in the constituency met at Feni Sub Centre.
Speaking to Breeze News, some cadres from PF alleged that UPND cadres, who were supposed to have a meeting in Lunyike area ordered PF cadres to remove PF regalia and started beating them.
Ephraim Sakala stated that in the midst of confusion, two PF cadres were seriously injured and had to be rushed to Chipata Central Hospital for treatment.
Efforts to get a comment from UPND Provincial Chairperson, Paul Thole and PF Provincial Chairperson Andrew Lubusha proved futile by news time.
And Provincial Police Commissioner, Alex Chilufya said that he had not yet received a report on the incident.
