The Patriotic Front PF Party has denied being involved in electoral malpractices in Luangeni Constituency.
This follows an allegation by independent candidate Yosi Miti that PF candidate Charles Zulu is involved in excessive distribution of campaign materials like T-shirts and Chitenges.
Mr. Miti also alleged that Mr. Zulu is killing cattle to feed people at almost every political meeting he is holding in the constituency.
But PF Luangeni Constituency Treasurer, Frank Phiri told Breeze News that there is nothing wrong with the ruling party distributing campaigns materials.
Mr. Phiri charged that Mr. Miti should find money to buy his own campaign materials if he is unhappy with the PF campaigns materials.
He however, denied a report that Mr. Zulu is bribing voters with meat, stating that this is an insult to people of Luangeni.
Mr. Phiri also stated that the party is only distributing bicycles to its officials to facilitate easy movement when campaigning across the constituency.
Meanwhile Chipata Central Constituency PF, Patriotic Front aspiring candidate Moses Mawere says he is not threatened by the decision of his party members not to support him but MMD candidate, Rueben M’tolo Phiri.
Mr. Mawere told Breeze News that he still has support from the PF because he has not offended anyone.
