Police in Eastern Province have been warned against getting involved in any criminal activities.
Eastern Province Police Commissioner, Eugene Sibote told Breeze News that police have a responsibility to protect the law and not to be law breakers.
Mr. Sibote stressed that the law will not tolerate any police officer involved in any criminal activities, because no one is above the law.
He expressed disappointment with a case where a police officer was implicated in a robbery at Mount Meru Filling Station in Chipata.
Mr. Sibote says police officers involved in criminal activities are not suitable to be in the police service and will be punished like any other criminal.
