The Zambia Police Service has offered a reward of 5,000 Kwacha for information leading to the arrest of people that brutally murdered a 37 year old albino woman in Lundazi district.
Eastern Province Police Commissioner, Eugene Sibote has confirmed police’s decision to offer a reward so that they can quickly track down the assailants of Charity Zimba.
The assailants chopped off Charity’s right arm and removed some of her teeth which they run away with while leaving her husband Robinson Nyirongo unconscious after attacking him.
Meanwhile, Police in Vubwi district have arrested 12 people who were trying to smuggle 140 logs of Mukula.
Mr Sibote says the suspects were arrested around midnight yesterday and are currently are police custody.
And three juveniles have died along the Great East road in Nyimba district when a Mercedes Benz truck they were traveling in overturned after the drive lost control.
Mr Sibote says the accident happened on Tuesday when Obert Phiri who was driving the truck loaded with assorted goods and 14 passengers who comprised 10 adults and four children.
He says that the bodies of the three children who died were taken to Nyimba district Hospital mortuary while the driver was detained in Police custody in Nyimba.
