Police in Eastern Province has warned that they will not tolerate any member of a political party who will be involved in violence activities during the campaigns.
Eastern Province Police Commissioner, Alex Chilufya told Breeze News that police have trained adequate officers to provide security during the campaigns.
Mr. Chilufya says the officers will be observing the campaigns to ensure that law and order prevails.
Meanwhile people of Lukusuzi Ward in Chief Mwanya’s area in Lundazi district have been advised to vote for a person who will help uplift their living standards.
Former Lukusuzi Ward Councillor Evans Manda told Breeze News that people in the area should vote for a person who will deliver.
Mr. Manda who is not going to stand due to the grade 12 and tertiary certificate requirement, however, commended the people for having given him an opportunity to lead.
