Pastors in Chadiza district have called on all politicians to be prudent and wise as they campaign for political positions in the run up to the August 11 general elections.
Evangelical Fellowship of Zambia EFZ Chadiza District Chairperson Pastor Onias Tembo says that politicians should refrain from all manners of wickedness and violence to uphold the country’s status of Christianity.
Pastor Tembo says that leaders who encourage violence lack wisdom and should not be given powers to rule.
The clergyman said this during an Interdenominational Prayer Meeting organized by EFZ Pastors for Peaceful and Violence Free Elections.
And only 3 candidates, Samson Thole and Richard Phiri all from UPND and Salatiel Tembo from PF showed up at the service.
Meanwhile Mr. Thole said that the church plays an important role in uniting the nation adding that politicians should humble themselves.
