Health standards at Chadiza District market have declined over the past years.
This has worried residents who are also wondering why many shops which are a source of income are in a deplorable state.
The residents have further expressed worry over the unpainted shops that are making the market look dirty.
And Chadiza District Council Secretary, Erof Hangóma says he has directed shop owners to paint their shops by April 30th or failure to which they risk being closed.
Mr. Hangóma says it is the council’s policy to see to it that the district is clean in order to prevent disease outbreak and attain their goal of becoming a municipality.
