The voter verification exercise in Chipata is not receiving favourable response from voters.
District Electoral Officer, Davies Musenge has confirmed stating that more sensitisation needs to be done.
Speaking to Breeze News this morning, Mr Musenge says that the response has been poor with some polling centres recording less than 10 people verifying their particulars by yesterday.
He says that the poor response could be as a result of people opting to verify their particulars using the mobile phone system.
Mr. Musenge however, says that it is evident that some people are now aware of the voter verification exercise.
Yesterday Electoral Commission of Zambia ECZ Public Relations Manager, Chris Akufuna said that the 7 days exercise, which started on Sunday, will not be extended.
