The poor state of bridges and the road network in Chief Madzimawe’s area in Chipata has raised concern among some villagers.
Dickson Phiri of Kangombe village says that a number of bridges such as Kasenengwa bridge, need to be worked on.
He noted that if the bridges and the road network is not improved, farmers will face challenges to transport their farming inputs.
Mr. Phiri, who is also headman Kangombe’s nduna says that roads such as Chisitu-Msoro via Pwata, Kangombe-Mwanza need to be worked on.
Meanwhile, Mr. Phiri has asked that boreholes be drilled in villages such as Mpangananji, Kabalika, Kangombe and Mwanza.
He says that people are fetching water from unprotected wells.
