Some villagers in Chief Mishoro’s area have expressed worry with the poor state of roads in the area.
James Banda from Chibalezulu village says that roads such as Msoro, Kampheta and Chiparamba, will become impassable if they are not worked on before the onset of the rain season.
He says that people in the area are just wondering when Msoro Road will be worked on, as pronouncements have been made before, but nothing has been done.
Meanwhile, Mr. Banda, who is also M’phuchi Farmers’ Multipurpose Cooperative chairperson, says that the water crisis in the area is seriously affecting livestock farming.
He says that farmers are now being forced to fetch water for their cattle in buckets.
Mr. Banda says that plans to rehabilitate a dam at Maposa Village have been abandoned, worsening the situation.
He appealed to government to consider putting up dams in the area.
