President elect, Edgar Lungu, says that all political leaders have a responsibility to go back and tell their supporters not to get involved in violence.
Speaking during a thanks giving rally in Lusaka, Mr. Lungu explained that anyone who plans to lead Zambia, cannot allow the country to degenerate into chaos.
He also asked Zambians not to be divided by the voting pattern that characterized the just ended general elections.
Meanwhile, Mr. Lungu said the PF should not be rushed into making decisions to accept people from other parties or those who want to re-join the party.
Mr. Lungu explained that the PF won the election even if some people had left the party and that the PF will scrutinize all those who want to join the PF.
