President elect, Edgar Lungu on Wednesday arrived in Mfuwe for a three days working holiday.
The president, who was in a jovial mood, was welcomed by few people at Mfuwe International Airport because his visit is private.
And Eastern Province Permanent Secretary, Chanda Kasolo dismissed reports that there was some political confusion in Mambwe district yesterday.
He says that as far as government is concerned, no form of violence happened yesterday especially that political cadres were not among those that welcomed Mr. Lungu.
Meanwhile Mr. Kasolo says that President Edgar Lungu has been invited to grace this year’s Kulamba ceremony of the Chewa people but he has not yet confirmed if he will attend.
The Kulamba annual event will take this place this weekend at Mkaika in Katete district.
