President Edger Lungu is expected to be in Eastern province this afternoon for a three days working visit.
Eastern Province Permanent Secretary Chanda Kasolo confirmed this at a media briefing held at his office this morning.
Mr. Kasolo says the president is expected to arrive at about 14 hours at Mfuwe International Airport in Mambwe district.
According to the his programme, president Lungu will then proceed to Chama this afternoon, where he will hold some rallies and return to Chipata this evening.
While in the province, the president will inspect works for the construction of Chipata District Hospital, Nyimba District Hospital and check on progress on Katete Dam.
Mr. Kasolo however, did not give details about other programmes for the president in Chipata District.
