President Michael Sata urges people of Mkaika Constituency to vote for Patriotic Front.

President Michael Sata has urged the people of Mkaika Constituency to vote for Patriotic Front candidate in this Thursday’s parliamentary by-election.
Mr Sata states that PF, Patriotic Front candidate David Phiri failed to deliver in the MMD government because of the former ruling party’s weak leadership.
Breeze FM Correspondent, Paul Phiri reports that Mr Sata, who was speaking during a political rally in Katete, urged Mr Phiri to work for the people once voted into office.
The president said Katete does not have a PF Member of Parliament and it will lack development if people of Mkaika will not vote for the ruling party candidate.
And speaking earlier Minister of Education, John Phiri promised the people of Katete that government will build more schools and colleges if they vote for PF.
The Mkaika parliamentary seat fell vacant after David Phiri, who was representing the constituency on MMD ticket ditched the former ruling party to join the ruling Patriotic Front.
Other candidates taking part in the by election are National Restoration Party –NAREPs’ Nigel Mpakateni, MMD’s Peter Phiri and Nelson Mwale from UNIP.
