Presidential Initiative Fund invaded by non traders.

The Presidential Initiative Empowerment Fund in Eastern Province has been marred with challenges of people who are not marketeers applying for the loans.
Association of Vendors and Marketeers of Zambia President, Able Chikwa says most of the people that have applied for the funds are not real traders.
Mr. Chikwa says the situation has led to the number of applicants increasing beyond the targeted number for most districts.
Mr. Chikwa was speaking yesterday when he addressed street vendors on the Presidential Initiative Fund in Chipata.
He emphasised that the only true beneficiaries of the funds are Zambian marketeers and street vendors, whom he says will not be removed from the streets.
Mr. Chikwa added that the Presidential Initiative Registration process will ensure that no foreigner is registered for the loans considering the fact that the province shares borders with Malawi and Mozambique.
He says all applications that will be approved by his association are those that are accompanied with a photocopy of a Green National Registration Card.
