Some primary school teachers in Eastern Province are forced to teach pupils in grade ten, from the newly upgraded schools.
Provincial Education Officer, Thomas Mwanza confirmed to Breeze News that government has not yet sent secondary school teachers to the newly upgraded schools.
Mr. Mwanza says that the ministry has only identified teachers who are diploma holders to be teaching grade ten pupils.
He however, noted that government is working hard in ensuring that well qualified teachers are sent to the new schools.
And Mr. Mwanza explained that government has already sent most of the required school materials to the upgraded schools.
A number of primary schools in Eastern Province were upgraded to reduce congestion in most schools.
